This year, plan a Sustainable Vacation!
To protect and preserve the natural systems of the forest, including the water sources and wildlife upon which all life on the Nicoya Peninsula depends. We consider it an honor to be the stewards of such an important conservation project and contributing to a better future.
The Karen Mogensen Nature Reserve is located in Costa Rica’s beautiful Nicoya Peninsula, close to the typical Costa Rican town of Jicaral. 16 Kilometers from Jicaral, you’ll begin your adventure into the magical forest preserve, where you will meet some of nature’s oldest guardians: the ancient tropical trees.
As you move deeper into the reserve you will begin to understand the importance of protecting and allowing nature to return to her natural beauty. Along the trail, treat yourself to a swim in the natural rock pools of the spectacular Velo de la Novia waterfall!
